Red

Jean - This barn is part of 100 acre University property purchased in 1920. The old red barn and rolling hills sits wedged between commercial strip malls, an apartment complex and the main thoroughfare….the contrast drew me in to take a photo. A land swap has this last chunk of beautiful undeveloped property destined for commercial use and had me seeing red in more than one way.

Jules - Mine is a photo of a glimpse of our town mural. It depicts such special places as the courthouse gazebo, where all the townfolk can get married by the local Justice of the Peace (comes in real handy for shotgun weddings); the 4th of July picnic, the biggest yearly event in town with carnival rides and games, beauty pageants, bingo, local music, lemonade, funnel cakes, and the raffling of a truck; and a few more significant town landmarks.
