On this particular corner, during the 70s and 80s, there were 2 drive-in liquor stores. Sort of an oxymoron to some degree. :) The store no longer exists but the sign remains. Perhaps as a testament to man's evolution and past stupidity.Another Shade of Greyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08678231814678660674noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2641530150694433143.post-1360017704998351072009-01-15T13:28:00.000-08:002009-01-25T06:54:43.931-08:00Old<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 376px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyStVQeq3u5rCx5tyhjZrQa5Lh-WclZxmoKTz96fQDviMNrARkh7dbQAP_9-_uUQ4muD0bCMSBJEExGrgZXVXrrCh9Ft_mwRKTF9rcVUDUs07sbBwGJnGIZGhglukc5QH-AOkwNVPHZRGk/s400/Picture+1116+(2).jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5291888029625170578" />
Jean -This university owned building sits among those used for Horticulture.
Don’t let its old looks fool you, the building is still used today, but for storage.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjG07sqwrujaKc9DReQWGtUKkaxk1sPfmYfzLwqAUoViVfaj7wlXndRrqwnqBa5_Z-rvYPI_N2LUwVKZJRFvudbhztzMTegp80dmJbp4HgOAduQg4O2m-Dk0hFFVnQbofMIm-krsOAlIaAt/s400/DSC02307.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5291888514116782306" />
Jules - mine is a photo of an old necklace chain that was attached to a locket my mother gave me. The old red barn and rolling hills sits wedged between commercial strip malls, an apartment complex and the main thoroughfare….the contrast drew me in to take a photo. It depicts such special places as the courthouse gazebo, where all the townfolk can get married by the local Justice of the Peace (comes in real handy for shotgun weddings); the 4th of July picnic, the biggest yearly event in town with carnival rides and games, beauty pageants, bingo, local music, lemonade, funnel cakes, and the raffling of a truck; and a few more significant town landmarks.Another Shade of Greyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08678231814678660674noreply@blogger.com0
